Jaipur: In a major administrative reshuffle undertaken by the Rajasthan government, IAS Aparna Arora has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Mines and Petroleum Department.
Arora is a 1993 batch officer of the Rajasthan cadre. She has been moved from her current role in the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, where she also held charge of the Panchayati Raj Department in Jaipur.
Arora holds a Master’s degree in Political Science, which shaped her interest in governance and public administration. Over her career, she has handled key portfolios, including Social Justice, Panchayati Raj, Education, Mines, Information Technology, and Tribal Affairs.
Her wide administrative experience across diverse sectors is expected to support her new role in overseeing the state’s mines and petroleum operations.
