New Delhi, Apr 2, (APAC Media): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a series of significant appointments and in-situ upgradation of senior officers to the rank of Additional Secretary in the Government of India. Among the major decisions, IAS Vijay Nehra has been appointed as the Additional Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
A 2001 batch officer of the Gujarat cadre, Nehra previously served as the Joint Secretary in the same department.
The list of other Additional Secretary appointments includes
IAS Sarita Chauhan Chand (AGMUT cadre:1999 batch), presently Joint Secretary in the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, has been elevated as Additional Secretary in the same department.
IAS Pankaj Yadav (Hyderabad cadre:2001 batch), currently Joint Secretary in the Department of Rural Development, has been upgraded as Additional Secretary in the Department of Rural Development.
IAS Arti Kanwar (Gujarat cadre:2001 batch), presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Textiles.
IAS Darpan Jain (Karnataka cadre:2001 batch), presently Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, has been elevated as Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
IAS Lokhande Prashant Sitaram (AGMUT cadre:2001 batch), presently Joint Secretary, Department of Home, Ministry of Home Affairs, has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the same department.
IAS Ankita Mishra Bundela (AGMUT cadre:2001 batch), presently Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
IAS Siddharth Jain (Andhra Pradesh cadre:2001 batch), presently Joint Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation, has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation.
IAS Neetu Kumari Prasad (Telangana cadre:2001 batch), presently Joint Secretary, Department of Fisheries, has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance.
IAS Diwakar Nath Mishra (Assam Meghalaya cadre: 2000 batch) has been appointed as the Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power.
Anuj Sharma, IDES officer (1991 batch), presently Additional Secretary, Department of Home, Ministry of Home Affairs, continues in the same capacity.
Meenaxi Rawat, IES officer (1993 batch), presently CVO, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd., Mumbai, has been appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
Ansuman Pattanaik, IRS-IT officer (1994 batch), presently Director General, Competition Commission of India, has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
Yashvir Singh, IES officer (1995 batch), presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
Nigar Fatima Husain, IDES officer (1996 batch), presently Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, continues in the same capacity.
Aparna Bhatia, IES officer (1996 batch), presently Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, continues in the same capacity.
Hari Har Mishra, IDAS officer (1998 batch), presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance.
Veena Kumari Dermal, IPoS officer (1998 batch), presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Mines.
