Noida, Apr 2 (APAC Media): Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi on Thursday launched the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G in India, a Special Edition device designed to strengthen its mid‑range lineup with improved performance and long-lasting battery life.
The company said the phone will be widely available through both online and offline channels later this month.
The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, built on a 4nm process, offering enhanced CPU and GPU performance for everyday use and light gaming.
The device comes with 6 GB or 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage, expandable via microSD card.
The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G features a 6.77‑inch FHD+ curved AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and high peak brightness for clear outdoor visibility.
Photography is handled by a dual rear camera setup led by a 50 MP primary sensor, while a 20 MP front camera supports selfies and video calls.
The phone runs on Android 15‑based HyperOS 2 and includes an in‑screen fingerprint sensor along with stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
A standout feature of the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G is its 5,800 mAh battery, which supports 45 W fast charging for prolonged usage on a single charge.
The device also offers splash and dust resistance with IP65/IP66 certification and comes with long-term software support, including four years of OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
In India, the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G will go on sale from April 7, starting at Rs 19,999 for the 6 GB + 128 GB model. The 8 GB + 128 GB and 8 GB + 256 GB variants are priced at Rs 21,999 and Rs 23,999, respectively.
The phone will be available through Flipkart and Xiaomi’s official online store, with bank offers and exchange deals expected at launch.
