New Delhi, June 18(CXO Media): HCLTech has signed a multi-year agreement with e.solutions, the automotive software subsidiary of Volkswagen Group, to support the development of AI-powered software for connected vehicles.
The partnership comes as global automakers increase investments in software-defined vehicles and digital in-car experiences. Under the agreement, HCLTech will help develop, integrate and validate infotainment and connectivity software platforms built on Android Automotive.
The collaboration will primarily focus on human-machine interface (HMI) software used in vehicle infotainment systems. HCLTech will support multiple vehicle programmes, helping ensure software compatibility across different hardware platforms and international markets.
Software-defined vehicles are becoming a key area of investment for the automotive industry as manufacturers seek to deliver regular software updates, advanced connectivity features and improved user experiences through digital platforms.
Germany-based e.solutions develops infotainment, communication and software frameworks for automotive manufacturers and suppliers working on next-generation vehicles. The company is involved in software integration and system analysis for connected and software-driven mobility platforms.
The deal also strengthens HCLTech’s position in the automotive technology segment, where demand for AI-enabled engineering, vehicle connectivity and digital cockpit solutions continues to grow.
