New Delhi, June 18(CXO Media): SUSE has appointed Marshal Correia as General Manager for India and South Asia, bringing in a veteran technology executive at a time when enterprises are increasing investments in AI, cloud infrastructure, and open-source technologies.
The move puts a former Red Hat India leader at the helm of SUSE’s regional operations as competition intensifies in the enterprise software and AI infrastructure market.
Correia joins SUSE with more than four decades of experience in the technology sector. Before this appointment, he led Red Hat’s India and SAARC business and held senior leadership roles at DXC Technology, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Compaq Computer, and Digital Equipment Corporation.
The appointment comes as India emerges as one of the fastest-growing markets for open-source and AI-led enterprise technology. According to research released by SUSE, 62% of Indian enterprises are investing in sovereign technology initiatives, above the global average of 52%. The study also found that 90% of organizations in the country are prepared to increase AI-related spending.
Correia will oversee SUSE’s operations across India and South Asia, with a focus on expanding the company’s presence in enterprise Linux, Kubernetes, cloud-native technologies, and AI infrastructure.
