New Delhi, June 8 (APAC Media): Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Monday launched the BHAVYA Portal, a digital platform aimed at accelerating the development of 100 industrial parks across the country.Â
Speaking at the launch event in New Delhi, Goyal said the portal has been designed to facilitate the creation of integrated industrial ecosystems equipped with multimodal connectivity, dependable utility infrastructure, digital governance systems, worker-centric amenities, and sustainable development features.
He described the initiative as a transformative step towards strengthening India’s manufacturing sector by enabling the development of world-class, investment-ready industrial infrastructure.Â
The minister also highlighted that the platform would improve transparency, operational efficiency, and ease of participation for state governments.
Addressing the gathering, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) Secretary Amardeep Singh Bhatia emphasised the importance of robust digital systems.Â
He noted that the BHAVYA Portal would function as a unified digital platform covering project submission, evaluation, monitoring, and reporting processes.
The BHAVYA programme, approved by the Union Cabinet with a financial corpus of Rs 33,660 crore, serves as the government’s flagship initiative for developing 100 world-class industrial parks over a six-year period.
