Noida, July 27 (APAC Media): Gold prices advanced by more than 1% in global markets on Monday, buoyed by easing inflationary pressures after a pause in Middle East hostilities triggered a decline in crude oil prices.
Spot gold climbed 1.5% to $4,110.76 per ounce as of 3:10 IST, while US gold futures advanced 1% to $4,116.10. The precious metal gained support from a weaker US dollar, with the dollar index declining 0.4%, making greenback-denominated gold more affordable for buyers holding other currencies.

The price of 24-carat gold stood around ₹1.44 lakh per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was trading near ₹1.31 lakh per 10 grams in the retail market. Rates, however, varied slightly across cities due to local taxes, transportation costs and jewellers’ charges.

Gold jewellery buyers typically prefer 22-carat gold for ornaments due to its durability, while 24-carat gold is considered a higher-purity option and is widely used for investment purposes.
Analysts advised consumers to check updated rates with local jewellers before making purchases, as final prices may vary depending on purity, making charges and applicable taxes.
