New Delhi, July 21(APAC Media): RITES Ltd. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with MECON Ltd. To jointly pursue consultancy and infrastructure projects in India and abroad.Both are government owned enterprises with deep engineering expertise.
What the Partnership Covers?
Under the MoU, RITES brings decades of experience in transport infrastructure and engineering consultancy, while MECON, a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Steel, contributes its strength in metal, mining, energy, and allied sectors.Â
Together, the two companies will work on identifying and executing consultancy assignments and infrastructure projects by pooling their technical expertise and sectoral experience.
Sectors Under the Scope
The collaboration spans a wide range of infrastructure areas. These include railways, metro rail, highways, expressways, airports, and ports. Ropeways, bridges, tunnels, and urban transport are also part of the scope.
Beyond transport, the partnership extends to energy infrastructure, water resources, and hydropower projects. Wastewater management and industrial infrastructure round out the list.
Together, these areas reflect the breadth of integrated engineering services the two companies aim to offer.
