Bhubaneswar, July 21 (APAC Media): The Odisha government has transferred two IAS officers in a minor administrative reshuffle, appointing IAS Dr Poma Tudu as Additional Secretary in the ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department.
IAS Dr Poma Tudu (2012 batch) has been shifted from Managing Director, Odisha State Medical Corporation Limited (OSMCL) to Additional Secretary in the ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department.
She will continue to hold additional charge as Commissioner, Food Safety, Odisha, and Managing Director, TDCCOL.
The department is responsible for implementing welfare programmes for Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, minorities and backward classes across the state.
The reshuffle also appoints IAS Smita Pani as the new Managing Director of the Odisha State Medical Corporation Limited (OSMCL). The orders take immediate effect.
She was earlier serving in the General Administration & Public Grievance Department.
In her new role, she will oversee the procurement and distribution of medicines, medical equipment and other healthcare supplies to government hospitals across Odisha.
The latest reshuffle is aimed at strengthening governance in tribal welfare, food safety and public healthcare administration.
