New Delhi, July 22 (APAC Media): The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has appointed IAS Vandana Singh as Commissioner (Land Management) in the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs..
IAS Vandana Singh is a 2013 batch Uttarakhand cadre IAS officer. Vandana secured All India Rank 8 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2012.
She is currently serving as Additional Secretary (Planning) and Director General, Agriculture & Horticulture, in the Uttarakhand government.
She will take up her new assignment after being relieved by the state government.
She has held several key administrative assignments in Uttarakhand, including District Magistrate and Assistant Secretary.
She later served as Director General of the state’s Horticulture Department.
She also drew attention for her handling of the Haldwani violence while serving as District Magistrate of Nainital.
The appointment has been made under the Central Staffing Scheme. Vandana Singh will serve in the DDA for four years from the date of assuming charge or until further orders.
Her appointment strengthens the leadership of the Delhi Development Authority, where she will oversee land management functions under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
