Chandigarh, August 25 (APAC Media): The Haryana Government has signed MoUs involving investments of more than Rs 66,000 crore with various companies, strengthening the state’s efforts to attract large-scale industrial investment and create new employment opportunities.
The agreements were exchanged in the presence of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh.
Addressing investors and industry leaders, Saini said Haryana was focused on providing policy stability, faster approvals, proactive project support and industry-aligned infrastructure to facilitate investments.
He said the government was working on a model focused on “project movement, not file movement”, with an emphasis on faster decision-making and smoother implementation.
Focus on Jobs and Industrial Growth
The Chief Minister said Haryana had emerged as a major hub for automobiles, agro-industries, engineering, electronics, logistics, IT services and corporate activities.
He highlighted the state’s contribution to the national economy, noting that Haryana accounts for around 1.3% of India’s geographical area but contributes nearly 3.6% to the national economy.
The government also plans to develop new growth nodes by integrating district-specific industrial clusters with land, skills and connectivity.
Five Key Guarantees for Investors
Saini outlined five key areas of government support for investors:
- Policy stability and certainty
- Time-bound approvals and decisions
- Proactive hand-holding of projects
- Industry-aligned skills and connectivity
- Linking investments with local employment, MSMEs, innovation and regional development
The state has also constituted an Industry-Worker Friendship Council to address issues related to workers, industries and industrial disputes.
Saini said the government would continue to support investors through transparent processes and swift decision-making, while encouraging investments that contribute to employment, MSME growth and regional development.
