Gurugram, August 6(APAC Media): Hulp has raised $2.6 million in seed funding to grow its AI-powered personal assistant service and expand to more cities in India. The Gurugram-based startup will use the fresh investment to improve its AI technology, hire senior leaders and launch its services in new markets.
The funding round was led by Sparrow Capital and BITKRAFT Ventures. Existing investor DeVC (Z47) also joined the round along with several angel investors, including PB Fintech Chairman and Policybazaar co-founder Yashish Dahiya.
Hulp was founded by Tarun Mathur, Neha Kulwal and Vishal Singh Khutel. The startup provides personal assistant services through WhatsApp and its mobile app. Users can send a voice note or message, and trained assistants help complete everyday tasks.
The platform currently supports more than 15 categories of services, including government paperwork, travel bookings, restaurant reservations, laundry, gardening, kitchen management and event planning.
The company said it will use the new funding to build more AI-powered workflows and improve its products. It also plans to strengthen its leadership team as it prepares for expansion.
Hulp currently operates in Delhi, Gurugram and Noida with a team of around 50 employees. The startup now plans to enter Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai.
