New Delhi, August 17(APAC Media): The MG Hector Tomahawk EV has been spotted without camouflage in India ahead of its August 26 launch. The images give the first clear look at the electric SUV’s exterior, which will also introduce JSW MG Motor India’s ADAPT platform in India.
A New Look For The Hector
The Tomahawk EV gets a closed-off front grille, LED headlamps and dual LED daytime running lights linked by a black trim. The MG logo sits between the lights, while the bumper gets vertical air curtains and a dual-tone finish.
The SUV seen in the images features an olive green body with a black roof and roof rails. It also gets chrome door handles, a chrome window line, black body cladding and large dual-tone alloy wheels.
What To Expect Inside
MG has confirmed that the Tomahawk will be a seven-seat electric SUV with bench seating in the second row. It is expected to get a large panoramic sunroof, a 12.8-inch touchscreen and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster.
The feature list is also expected to include ventilated front seats, a powered tailgate, wireless charging, automatic climate control, a 360-degree camera, six airbags and ADAS.
Range Could Be A Key Talking Point
The EV is expected to use a 69.2kWh LFP battery paired with a front-mounted electric motor producing 201hp and 310Nm. The claimed CLTC range stands at up to 530km, while the top speed is limited to 160kmph.
MG is also expected to offer a plug-in hybrid version with a 1.5-litre petrol engine, 20.5kWh battery and electric motor. It is claimed to deliver 195hp and provide up to 125km of electric-only range. With the launch set for August 26, the Tomahawk EV’s pricing and India-specific specifications will be closely watched.
