Noida, Sep 24 (APAC Media): Gold prices in India declined nearly 0.12% in the domestic futures market during early trade on Thursday, amid reports of fresh talks between the United States and Iran.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures for October delivery were trading around ₹151,051 per 10 grams, down about 0.16 per cent, according to market data.
Silver futures for December delivery also declined, falling about 0.6 per cent to ₹234,660 per kg.
In the retail market, 24-carat gold was quoted at ₹151,380 per 10 grams in Mumbai and ₹151,120 in Delhi, according to rates from the Indian Bullion Association cited in the report.
The 22-carat gold rate stood at ₹138,765 per 10 grams in Mumbai and ₹138,527 in Delhi.
Among other major cities, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹151,450 per 10 grams in Bengaluru, ₹151,130 in Kolkata, ₹151,570 in Hyderabad and ₹151,770 in Chennai.
Silver prices also remained above ₹2.3 lakh per kg across major markets. The 999-purity silver rate was ₹234,340 per kg in Mumbai, ₹233,940 in Delhi, ₹234,210 in Bengaluru, ₹233,710 in Kolkata, ₹234,400 in Hyderabad and ₹234,710 in Chennai.
