Thiruvananthapuram: V R Krishna Teja Mylavarapu, an IAS officer of 2015 batch is the new Director for Kerala Tourism and he also been given the additional responsibilities as the Chief Executive Officer of Smart City Thiruvananthapuram Ltd (SCTL).
These two key responsibilities were earlier held by P Bala Kiran, IAS (2008 Batch) who has gone in central deputation as Director of Census Operations and Director of Citizen Registrations, Andhra Pradesh and will be operating from Hyderabad, Telangana.
Krishna Teja IAS who was the Additional Director Kerala Tourism and also Managing Director, Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC), continues to hold the position as MD KTDC as an additional charge.
A Computer Science Engineer from Andhra Pradesh, Krishna Teja IAS played a key role in the ‘Secret Operation Kuttanad’, in August 2018 as Sub-Collector of Alappuzha / Alleppey in saving lives of over 2 lakh people. This operation was executed secretly without letting the people knowing the danger they’d have to face in the coming hours.
