Hyderabad: “If the grace of God miraculously operates, it probably operates through the subliminal door.” So goes the saying. In what can be termed a miracle in no uncertain terms, a baby girl with the gestational age of 24 weeks with a birth weight of 550 grams survived and is now well and weighs 2.32 kg.
In a matter of 140 days, thanks to a team of doctors at the Medicover Woman & Child Hospital in Hyderabad, the baby girl gained sufficient weight and is going home. Doctors and parents are elated and said that it was not short of a miracle and said that good care and equally good response from the baby helped in recovery.
It may be noted that last year, a 23-week premature gestational infant born at Bijapur district survived whose birth weight also was 500 grams. In two months the baby girl had gained weight of 1.4kg. In 2019, there was a case where a 22-week-old-baby was born in Ahmedabad.
