Kolhapur: Students of the Shivaji University, Kolhapur (SUK) will now be able to do financial transactions related to the university online.
The Department of Finance and Accounts of the university has created an online receipt portal for the convenience of students and various entities.
Finance and Accounts Officer of SUK, Ajit Chougule, said, “Wednesday (April 5) marked a historic milestone in the history of the Depository Unit functioning under the Department of Finance and Accounts of Shivaji University. For the first time in the SUK’s history, all (100%) transactions in the Depository Room were carried out online, with not a single transaction made in cash.
The Department of Finance and Accounts has created an online receipt portal for the convenience of students and various entities. Accordingly, the receipts made by all departments on the university premises by cash, check, and bank receipts have been closed as of December 31, 2022. From January 31, 2023, the facility was closed to colleges and other entities.
“From April 5, all transactions were done online,” added Chougule.
