Raipur: The Chhattisgarh transport department has introduced a new system for proffering information regarding registration centificates and driving licences issued across the state.
As part of ‘Tunhar Sarkar, Tunhar Dwar’ scheme, the general public can easily avail all the important information related to registration of vehicles and driving licence through the social media application — Whatsapp.
“Under the new system, vehicle owners will receive RC-license number, tracking number with name of the applicant along with the date of RC-license issuance and dispatch through WhatsApp message,” said a government release.
Transport commissioner Dipanshu Kabra had said that earlier the applicants were provided a brief information through SMS only, which contained the RC-license number and the tracking number only.
“It did not even mention the name. But now the applicants will receive elaborate notification from RTO on WhatsApp as well. Now the applicants can download RC-license online any time anywhere from the parivahan website,” he said.
If the RC is not received through speed post within a week of printing, the applicant can file complaint by calling the helpline number 7580808030.
On June 1, 2021, the state government had launched ‘Tunhar Sarkar Tunhar Duar’ scheme for the convenience of the people and create a hassle-free system for getting works done related to transport department.
Around 22 transport related services are being provided to the public at their doorstep, for saving their time and money.
