New Delhi: Under Special Campaign 3.0, the Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation and its organisations engage in various daily activities.
These activities include cleanliness, review and simplification of rules and procedures, assessment of record management systems, the effective utilisation of workspace, and the disposal of waste materials to enhance the workplace experience.
For the week ending October 27, 2023, the Department has achieved 100 per cent of their targets in Cleanliness Campaign Sites, Inter-Ministerial References (Cabinet Note), PMO references and Reviewing & Weeding out Physical Files.
They have completed 6 of their 10 targets in parliamentary assurances, 26 out of 31 targets in MPs references, closed 50 out of 65 targets in public grievances, resolved 10 out of 19 public grievance appeals and attended to 3470 out of 4125 e-files, out of which 218 files have been closed.
In addition to the aforementioned efforts:
- A revenue of Rs. 3,913,072/- has been generated through scrap disposal.
- Cleaning of sites and scrap disposal has resulted in the freeing of 160,969 square feet of space.
- The Department has issued 179 tweets/posts on various social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
The Department has been able to attain tangible improvements, such as reduced work backlog, enhanced office space, and the promotion of cleanliness.
These accomplishments are part of the Special Campaign 3.0 initiative, which is being carried out in all Central Ministries and Departments, along with attached and subordinate government offices of India.
This initiative is taking place from October 2 to October 31, 2023, under the aegis of the Department of Administrative Reforms & Grievances.
