Wells Fargo appoints Uday Odedra as the Managing Director and Head of India

Bengaluru: Uday Odedra has been appointed the Head of Wells Fargo in India and the Philippines on October 31, 2023. Wells Fargo & Company, is one of the leading financial services companies in the US. Odedra will be reporting to David Owen, the Head of Global Operations.

David Owen expressed his satisfaction in welcoming Uday to the Wells Fargo leadership team, highlighting the pivotal role played by the India and Philippines teams in the bank’s operations. Under Uday’s guidance, the bank aims to further fortify its presence in the region.

Uday is departing from UBS AG, and bringing an extensive background in the global financial services sector. His expertise lies in international business leadership, technology, and data strategy, solidifying his stature as a seasoned professional in the field.

Uday has held diverse leadership positions, with over 25 years of service at UBS, including the coveted role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for India, and the pivotal position of Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Asia.

Uday obtained his undergraduate degree in Computing Information Systems from Birmingham City University in the United Kingdom.
