Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala’s skill development agency, ASAP Kerala, has entered into a strategic alliance with dSPACE, a leading German mechatronics system software technology company. This collaboration aims to create job opportunities for skilled youth in the state.
The inauguration of dSPACE’s India operations at Kinfra Park in Kazhakoottam marked a significant milestone in this partnership. As per the agreement, dSPACE will work with ASAP Kerala to recruit 100 candidates who successfully complete specific skill training programs.
The Memorandum of Agreement was formally signed at a special ceremony, with Usha Titus, Chairperson, and MD of ASAP Kerala, and Franklin George, Managing Director of dSPACE, highlighting their commitment to the collaboration. The signing took place at the office of Ishita Roy, the Principal Secretary of the Department of Higher Education.
Roy emphasised the state government’s dedication to higher education and exceptional skill development initiatives, asserting that Kerala’s pool of top talent makes it an appealing destination for foreign companies. She expressed confidence that the partnership with dSPACE would significantly enhance job opportunities for Kerala’s youth.
The recruitment process will focus on candidates with the required skills, facilitated by ASAP Kerala. The collaboration extends beyond recruitment, as both entities plan to develop industry-relevant skill courses. ASAP will conduct specialised training to improve candidates’ employability, ensuring meaningful employment opportunities for eligible individuals in the state.
The event witnessed the presence of key figures, including Rajshree, Director Technical Education, A Praveen, Registrar of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Elmer Schmidt, Vice-President of dSPACE, Laiju IP Nair, Head of ASAP Kerala Placement Division, Basil Amanullah, Associate Director, and K Sankaran, Programme Manager.
