Chandigarh: In a recent administrative move, the state government of Haryana appointed IAS Rajeev Ranjan to oversee the affairs of Jind District. He is from the 1999 IAS batch and belongs to the Haryana cadre.
Ranjan is currently serving as the Principal Secretary of the Labour Department in Haryana. His transfer to Jind is in line with the government’s strategic approach to entrust officers with responsibilities pertaining to infrastructure, e-governance projects, and the implementation of key initiatives within the district.
As per government protocol, officers like Ranjan, now designated as the in-charge, play a pivotal role in presiding over the District Public Grievances Committee in the absence of the appointed chairperson.
This responsibility gives the. the authority to address and resolve matters concerning public grievances, reflecting the government’s commitment to efficient governance and responsive administration in Jind District.
