New Delhi: IAS Ankita Chakravarty was recently appointed as the Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, as per an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT).
The appointment was made under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) for a tenure of four years from the date of assuming the role or until further orders, whichever comes first. The Ministry of Home Affairs proposed Ankita Chakravarty’s name for Central Deputation.
Chakravarty is currently serving as the Secretary of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) and the CEO of NDMC Smart City Limited. She is an AGMUT cadre Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the 2013 batch, and is expected to assume her new responsibilities promptly.
The final paragraph of the directive said, “She may kindly be relieved of her duties immediately with instructions to take up her new assignment in the Ministry of Home Affairs.”
