New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) recently gave its approval for the appointment of Parama Sen (IA&AS) as Additional Secretary in the Department of Expenditure under the Ministry of Finance. Sen will be taking over this role from Annie George Mathew (IA&AS).
Parama Sen, an Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS) officer of the 1994 batch, has been appointed for a five-year tenure, effective until August 2, 2025. The appointment was made possible by the temporary upgrading of one Joint Secretary level post within the Department to the Additional Secretary level.
Prior to this new assignment, Sen served as the Additional Secretary in the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) under the Ministry of Finance.
