Leh: In a significant move aimed at facilitating the smooth execution of the Viksit Barat Sankalp Yatra initiated by the Government of India in Ladakh, IAS Amit Sharma has been appointed as Nodal Officer for the administration of the region.
He is currently serving as the Administrative Secretary of the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department, Union Territory of Ladakh. His appointment was approved by the Administration of the UT of Ladakh.
The order said, “To ensure the effective implementation of the Viksit Barat Sankalp Yatra to be launched by the Government of India on 15.11.2023, sanction is hereby accorded to the appointment of Amit Sharma, Administrative Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department, UT Ladakh as Nodal Officer for the Administration of the Union territory of Ladakh.”
