Bengaluru: Salesforce, a leading AI CRM (Customer Relationship Management), has partnered with the Information and Communication Technology ICT Academy and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to introduce the Educator’s Empowerment Program (EEP) on Salesforce Technologies.
This collaboration aims to empower educators with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the ever-evolving landscape of technical education, ensuring quality education for learners.
The program will facilitate virtual internships using Trailhead, Salesforce’s free online learning platform, as part of the instructional practice. Three specific tracks have been identified, including the Salesforce Platform Developer Track for those experienced in building custom applications on the Lightning Platform.
The Salesforce Administrator Track for customising the platform and bridging business and technology, and MuleSoft training for seamless interconnection of data, applications, and devices across various environments.
EEP comprises 40 hours of training over five days, providing an on-campus learning experience to facilitate faster upskilling and cross-skilling. Faculty participants will receive a certificate of participation based on academia requirements (EEP from ICT Academy is supported by AICTE), with additional certifications provided through NASSCOM Future Skill Prime on Salesforce Developer Catalyst, Salesforce Administrator, and MuleSoft.
IDC predicts that the global Salesforce economy, driven by AI, will generate 11.6 million jobs and $2.02 trillion in business revenues between 2022 and 2028. In alignment with these global objectives, Salesforce is actively collaborating with academia in India to enhance the availability of skilled talent through the unique EEP.
Sanket Atal, Managing Director – India Site, Operations and Technology & Product, Salesforce India, stated, “Through this program, we aim to equip educators with the skills and expertise required to stay ahead in their field, foster innovation, and prepare students for the challenges of the future. We believe this initiative will not only benefit educators but also lead to an enriched and dynamic learning experience for students across the country and thereby empower the education landscape.”
T. G. Sitharam, Chairman at AICTE, emphasised the importance of providing teachers with new skills and exposure to professional development programs, expressing delight in partnering with Salesforce through the ICT academy to upskill students.
Hari Balachandran, CEO at ICT Academy, expressed pride in bringing the “Educators Empowerment Program” on Salesforce Technologies to faculty members, highlighting the initiative’s commitment to fostering educational excellence.
The Educator’s Empowerment Program is open to faculty members teaching in B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech Departments in various fields, including Computer Science, Information Science, Electrical & Electronics, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Data Science & Analytics, Internet of Things, Cyber Security, and Computer Science & Design.
