Bengaluru: The Karnataka government is launching the ‘yuva nidhi scheme’ unemployment allowance scheme, beginning January 1, 2024. The registration process for the scheme will open on December 26, allowing eligible candidates to enrol through the ‘Seva Sindhu’ portal, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah informed.
The ‘yuva nidhi scheme’ initiative is geared towards providing financial assistance to unemployed graduates and diploma holders.
According to the Chief Minister’s statement on the social media platform ‘X,’ applicants must have completed their graduation within the academic year 2022-23, with a requirement of six months post-graduation. To be eligible, candidates should not be pursuing higher education or engaged in any employment.
Under the scheme, unemployed graduates will receive a monthly financial assistance of Rs 3,000, while diploma holders will be granted Rs 1,500. The funds will be directly transferred to the beneficiaries’ accounts for a maximum period of two years or until they secure employment.
