Jaipur: IAS officer T Ravikanth has been appointed as the Principal Secretary (PS) to Rajasthan Chief Minister, Bhajan Lal Sharma, according to orders issued by the state department of personnel.
Simultaneously, IAS officer Anandhi of the 2007 batch, who is presently posted as the state’s IT and Communication Secretary, has been posted as the Secretary to the Chief Minister, and IAS officer Dr Saumya Jha of the 2017 batch, currently serving as the CEO of Rajasthan Rural Livelihood Development Council has been temporarily appointed as Joint Secretary.
Ravikanth, a 1998 batch IAS officer, is currently serving as Principal Secretary (Medical Education), and is taking over from IAS officer Kuldeep Ranka, who was the Principal Secretary to Rajasthan’s former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
All three officers will maintain their existing posts alongside their new responsibilities. The appointments were made after the election of Bhajan Lal Sharma as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan on December 15.
