New Delhi: Mundkur S Kamath has been appointed as the Managing Director (MD) of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), as approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on February 24.
According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Kamath’s appointment is effective from the date he assumes charge until his superannuation on November 30, 2027, or until further notice, whichever comes earlier. Currently serving as the Executive Director (Refinery) at MRPL, Kamath brings extensive experience to his new role.
Kamath, an alumnus of Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) and TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), Manipal, has been with MRPL since July 1992. Over the years, he has held various positions within the organisation, including a deputation at ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals Ltd (OMPL). Prior to his current role, he served as the Group General Manager (Technical Services) at MRPL before being appointed as Executive Director (Refinery) on June 1, 2022.
