Punjab : IAS Vikas Garg appointed Principal Secretary for Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs; 2 more officers shuffled

Chandigarh: The Punjab state government recently transferred and posted three Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. Following are the names and the new designations and added responsibilities of the officers:

• IAS officer Vikas Garg (1998 batch) has been appointed as the Principal Secretary for Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs. He was previously serving as the Financial Commissioner of Forests and Wildlife.
• IAS officer Krishna Kumar (1997 batch), currently serving as the Principal Secretary for Water Resources and Principal Secretary for Governance Reforms & Public Grievances, has also been appointed the Financial Commissioner for Forests and Wild Preservation.
• IAS officer Varun Roojam (2004 batch), who is currently serving as the Excise Commissioner, has been given the additional responsibility as the Taxation Commissioner.
