Mumbai: SBI General Insurance Company has appointed Naveen Chandra Jha as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. State Bank of India, the parent company, nominated him for the position. He succeeds Kishore Kumar Poludasu. Since 1994, Jha has been connected to the State Bank of India, where he held a number of significant roles.
Before assuming his current position at SBI General Insurance, Jha was the Deputy Managing Director of SBI. According to the statement, in this role, Jha will use his extensive experience and business acumen to propel the company forward. Jha has worked in the banking sector for thirty years. He has served in a variety of critical operational and functional positions over the course of his career, such as Retail Banking, HR & Administration, Credit and Risk Management with a concentrated emphasis on SME Credit, and Branch Management.
Established in 2009, SBI General Insurance expanded from 17 branches to a nationwide presence of over 143 branches. According to the statement, SBI General Insurance currently employs over 8,000 people.
