New Delhi: Punjab National Bank (PNB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) to provide exclusive financial benefits and insurance coverage for ITBP personnel, pensioners, and their families.
The MoU was signed by S.P. Singh, General Manager, PNB, and S.C. Mamgain, Inspector General (Admn), ITBP, at the ITBP Headquarters, CGO Complex, New Delhi. The exchange took place in the presence of Binay Kumar Gupta, Chief General Manager, PNB; Vikash Burman, DIG (Admn), ITBP, and other senior officials from both organizations.
Key Benefits for ITBP Personnel
Under the MoU, ITBP personnel will receive extensive insurance coverage and financial benefits, including:
Personal Accidental Insurance (PAI) of Rs. 100 lakh
Air Accidental Insurance (AAI) of Rs. 150 lakh
Permanent/Partial Disability Coverage of Rs. 100 lakh
Additional Cover for Death During Operations of Rs. 10,00,000
Cost of Imported Medicines (including transportation) Up to Rs. 10,00,000
Air Ambulance Cost of Up to Rs. 10,00,000
Special Benefits for ITBP Pensioners and Families
PNB has also extended its Rakshak Account benefits to ITBP pensioners, offering lifetime PAI coverage of Rs. 50,00,000 and AAI coverage of Rs. 100 lakh. Several other financial benefits will also be available to the dependents and families of ITBP personnel.
Through this partnership, PNB has reaffirmed its dedication to supporting India’s armed forces, particularly the ‘Himveers’ of ITBP, by offering customized financial products and services. The bank aims to continue its support through similar initiatives in the future.
