Hyderabad: Dr Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar, an IAS officer from the 1982 batch of AP cadre, has assumed leadership as the new Director-General of the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI).
Throughout his 34-year tenure as a civil servant, Dr Ramesh Kumar held numerous senior positions with distinction. He held various positions with the esteemed Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), including Joint Executive Officer and Executive Officer. In addition, he held positions as Principal Secretary of the Agriculture and Cooperation, Marketing, and Housing Departments, Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, and Secretary of Finance from 2006 to 2009.
From 2009 to 2016, Dr Rameshkumar served as Principal Secretary and then Special Chief Secretary to the Governor of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana. Following his retirement, he was Andhra Pradesh’s State Election Commissioner from 2016 to 2021.
