Chennai: Kauvery Hospital Alwarpet and Rotary Club of Madras North have together launched the Mobile Wellness Clinic. The initiative aims to bridge healthcare accessibility gaps by offering free-of-cost medical screenings and consultations to the underprivileged community in and around Chennai.
The Kauvery Mobile Wellness Clinic medical unit is equipped with advanced diagnosis services such as ECG, Echo Cardiogram, X-rays, and BMD scanners. It offers services across a range of specialties including General Medicine, Diabetology, Cardiology, Dermatology, Nephrology, Pulmonology, Orthopedics, Oncology, Geriatrics, Neurology, and Diet Counseling. The mobile clinic is expected to benefit more than 100,000 people, particularly in suburban areas, by offering extensive screening services and early detection of health issues.
In addition, the mobile unit will play a key role in imparting preventive health education. It will organize community awareness sessions and medical screening camps in educational institutions and underserved areas. The mobile wellness clinic plans to conduct more than 12 health camps per month, screening around 600 individuals in Chennai and nearby districts.
