Pune: Tech Mahindra and Northeastern University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster innovation in Open Radio Access Networks (ORAN) and 6G connectivity.
Tech Mahindra and Northeastern University are expected to develop leading-edge ORAN and 6G solutions with an emphasis on extensive testing and ORAN ecosystem certification. The partnership makes use of Tech Mahindra’s network engineering and customer experience skills all of which are in line with its experience as a reliable transformation partner.
This partnership allows ORAN vendors, Communication Service Providers (CSPs) and start-ups to turn their innovative ideas and concepts into reality. It is expected to give vendors the ability to assess network energy efficiency in ORAN deployments and can ensure that the performance security of their products meet the highest requirements. End-to-end testing can be possible in both virtual and physical environments simulating real-world conditions, utilizing the help of cutting-edge technologies like digital twin technology.
