WCL assigns additional charge to Bikram Ghosh as the Director (Personnel)

New Delhi: Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) has appointed Bikram Ghosh as Director (Personnel). He has been serving as the Director (Finance) at WCL since March 2024. The Ministry of Coal has conferred the additional role on him for 3 months.

Ghosh holds over 28 years of experience in the coal industry. He started his career with Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). In 1996, he entered the coal industry by joining Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) as a Finance Officer. Since then, he has held numerous key positions including General Manager (Finance) at various locations of BCCL and its headquarters.

He brings vast experience in procurement, contracts, accounts, taxation, funds, cost management, and payment technology. He is known for promoting technological advancements at BCCL with initiatives like implementing a modernized payment gateway, digitized official work, etc.
