Bengaluru: Commvault has revealed critical findings from its 2024 Cyber Recovery Readiness Report, shedding light on how organizations are bolstering their defenses after experiencing cyber incidents. The report highlights a significant trend: businesses that have been breached are investing heavily to ensure they don’t fall victim again.
Key insights from the report include:
- Increased Investments in Cyber Resilience: Organizations that have been previously breached are spending almost 30% more on cybersecurity measures than their counterparts that have not experienced a breach.
- Greater Focus on Understanding Data Risk Profiles: Breached organizations are nearly 2.5 times more likely to prioritize understanding the risk profiles of their data, identifying different types of data and their associated risks.
- Prioritization of Cyber Readiness Testing: Cyber readiness testing is a key focus for breached organizations, with only 2% of these organizations neglecting to test their recovery plans compared to 20% of those that haven’t been breached.
These findings emphasize a proactive shift among organizations in addressing vulnerabilities, with a clear understanding that cyber preparedness is not a one-time exercise but a continuous effort.
