New Delhi: The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry is set to launch the Bharat Startup Knowledge Access Registry (BHASKAR), a digital platform aimed at strengthening India’s startup ecosystem. This initiative, under the Startup India program, is an effort to centralize, streamline, and enhance collaboration among key stakeholders within the entrepreneurial ecosystem, including startups, investors, mentors, service providers, and government bodies.
India is home to more than 1,46,000 DPIIT-recognized startups and has rapidly become one of the world’s most dynamic startup hubs. BHASKAR seeks to leverage this potential by providing a comprehensive, one-stop digital platform that addresses the challenges faced by both entrepreneurs and investors. The platform will foster a conducive environment for networking, collaboration, and growth within the startup ecosystem.
Key features of the platform include:
-
The platform will incorporate a built-in digital registry of all stakeholders, thereby allowing for seamless interaction between startups, investors, mentors, and other stakeholders.
-
It will provide centralized access to resources by consolidating all knowledge items in one place.
-
It will enhance discoverability through powerful search features, using which stakeholders will be easily able to locate relevant resources, collaborators, and opportunities, ensuring faster decision-making and action.
-
Through personalized BHASKAR IDs for each stakeholder, the platform will facilitate easier interaction, enhance searchability, and allow for efficient discovery of relevant opportunities and partnerships.
