Kanpur: With an aim to bolster healthcare in the state, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur and ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth have joined hands to launch Digital Health Stack. The Stack will be made available in the public healthcare system, starting with Uttar Pradesh (UP).
The Digital Health Stack combines technology, medical research, and innovation to significantly transform the public healthcare infrastructure. As per the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed, ICICI Foundation will provide financial support for this initiative over multiple years.
In particular, the Stack will offer the following benefits:
- Development of MedTech devices
- Improvement of point-of-care (POC) services
- Detection of chronic diseases through AI-integrated devices
In February 2024, IIT Kanpur signed an MoU with the UP Government to contribute to the research and development efforts for UP Digital Health Stack under the National Health Stack Programme of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. According to the agreement, IIT Kanpur will curate, validate, and manage various digital health services for the state in the upcoming years.
