Bhubaneshwar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi flagged off the Subhadra Yojana Awareness Rath, a mobile initiative aimed at raising awareness about the Subhadra Yojana. The scheme, which promises financial support to over 1 crore women, will provide Rs 10,000 annually for five years to each beneficiary, with the first installment of Rs 5,000 scheduled for disbursement on September 17.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravatai Parida, who is also the Women and Child Development Minister, accompanied Majhi and assured that there will be no deadline for registration. She added that the awareness chariots would clarify any doubts about the scheme.
Majhi described the initiative as a milestone in empowering women and boosting Odia’s pride. The campaign will travel across the state, informing women about how to apply for the scheme and ensuring no eligible beneficiary is left out.
