Bhopal: The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr Mohan Yadav, announced the release of the September installment of the Ladli Behna Scheme and Social Security Pension Schemes. Under Ladli Behna, the CM will transfer an amount of Rs 1,574 crore to the accounts of 1 crore 29 lakh women. In addition, Rs 332 crores will be transferred to the beneficiaries of the Social Security Pension.
The Ladli Behna Scheme was introduced by the former CM of MP, Shivraj Singh Chauhan in March 2023. It aims at promoting the welfare of women, irrespective of their social background. The scheme initially provided Rs 1,000 per month to women in the state. The amount was later increased to Rs 1,250 per month, with plans to gradually increase it to Rs 3,000 per month. Presently, around 1.25 crore women benefit from the scheme, with a total of Rs 24,499 crore disbursed already.
