Bangalore: At Zoomtopia 2024, Zoom unveiled new AI features aimed at making work easier for teams and businesses. The updates include AI Companion 2.0, which will be available to paid users at no extra cost, and a customizable AI add-on set to launch next year.
AI Companion 2.0 integrates seamlessly with Zoom Workplace, offering a persistent side panel for quick access and new features like contextual understanding and real-time web lookups. Users will also benefit from Zoom Tasks, which automatically suggests actions based on ongoing conversations and connects with apps like Gmail and Google Docs to keep tasks on track.
For organizations looking for more customization, Zoom will launch a $12-per-month add-on in early 2025. This option lets companies connect more data sources, create custom glossaries, and set up personal AI tools, including avatars for video content.
These updates reflect Zoom’s shift towards an AI-driven workplace platform that aims to boost productivity across industries, with specialized tools for healthcare and education. The company’s latest features show how it’s adapting to meet diverse work needs, offering AI tools that simplify tasks and enhance collaboration.
