New Delhi: With an aim to leverage technological innovation to reduce emissions and boost clean energy transitions, the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and the International Energy Agency (IEA) have signed a MoU to establish a framework of cooperation.
The partnership, formalized at the IEA headquarters in Paris, will focus on the following key elements:
It will foster innovation in the field of energy.
It will create an ecosystem for policy analysis and knowledge exchange, particularly for emerging economies.
It will aim to address barriers to deploying clean energy technologies.
IIT Delhi’s Director, Rangan Banerjee, expressed optimism about the collaboration’s potential to equip developing economies with strategies for achieving net-zero emissions and advancing sustainability goals.
