Mumbai: Sterling and Wilson Data Center has announced the appointment of Ravindra Bapat as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO), further enhancing its leadership team. Bapat brings over 30 years of experience in critical infrastructure, data center solutions, and power systems, making him a key addition to the company’s strategic vision.
Throughout his career, Bapat has held prominent roles in companies such as Wartsila Diesel, Thomassen, Emerson Network Power (now Vertiv), and Aggreko Singapore. At Wartsila, he gained foundational experience in power generation, working on diesel and gas engines. His tenure at Thomassen expanded his expertise in large-scale power projects and turbine technologies.
Bapat’s most notable contributions have been in the data center sector. At Emerson Network Power, he spent over a decade developing high-reliability power and cooling solutions for telecom, IT, and data center clients. At Sterling & Wilson, he managed greenfield Tier III and Tier IV data center projects, focusing on optimizing power usage efficiency (PUE), meeting aggressive timelines, and incorporating sustainable practices.
At Aggreko Singapore, Bapat collaborated with clients and stakeholders across the Asia-Pacific region, providing power and cooling solutions for every stage of the data center lifecycle. His extensive experience aligns with Sterling and Wilson Data Center’s mission to lead innovative and sustainable solutions.
As CTO of Sterling and Wilson Data Center, Bapat plans to simplify data center technologies, accelerate deployment timelines, and focus on sustainability.
