Hyderabad: CtrlS Datacentres Ltd has unveiled plans to establish a new Datacentre Park on a 40-acre campus at the upcoming Chandanvelly Industrial Park near Hyderabad. This ambitious project is expected to bolster the company’s footprint in the region while enhancing its datacentre capacity significantly.
Massive capacity expansion
The 40-acre campus is designed to support an IT load capacity of over 600 MW, a significant addition to Hyderabad’s current datacentre capacity of approximately 52 MW. This expansion highlights CtrlS’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for advanced datacentre solutions in India.
Key features of the datacentre
The Chandanvelly Datacentre Park will feature multiple high-density and ultra-high-density datacentre buildings equipped to support AI-ready applications. These facilities will accommodate ultra-high-density rack configurations, with capacities ranging up to 135 KW per rack and immersion cooling systems capable of supporting 300 KW per rack.
In its initial phase, the facility will leverage a 250 MW sanctioned power capacity and include a dedicated Gas Insulated Substation (GIS). The substation is expandable up to 900 MW, ensuring uninterrupted power supply for seamless operations. The datacentre will also feature mission-critical operation centers, administrative offices, and collaborative spaces tailored for customer needs.
The facility also incorporates advanced cooling systems, including free air-cooling, direct liquid cooling, and immersion cooling technologies. These systems aim to achieve an annual Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) between 1.12 and 1.32. Additionally, the buildings will feature solar module facades on their western and southern elevations, providing thermal regulation, green power generation, and aesthetic appeal.
