Kanpur: The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) and Citadel Securities have joined hands to set up the “Translational and Transformative Training and Investigations Lab” (T3i Lab) within IITK’s Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The initiative aims to boost research and innovation in computing and artificial intelligence, backed by Citadel Securities’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) grant.
Focus on Advanced Computing Resources
The T3i Lab will focus on areas such as High-Performance Computing, Data Visualization, Machine Learning, and Translational AI. Students and researchers will have access to advanced Graphics Processing Units (GPUs), a costly and limited resource in India, enabling cutting-edge research. The lab will also explore innovations in computer architecture design and hardware security, supporting IIT Kanpur’s pursuit of advanced technological solutions.

Commenting on the development, IIT Kanpur Director, Prof. Manindra Agrawal, stated, “This advanced lab will enhance our research capabilities, allowing our students and faculty to explore impactful solutions. We are grateful for this partnership with Citadel Securities.”
