New Delhi: Amdocs and Google Cloud are collaborating to introduce AI-driven automation for 5G network management. The partnership aims to help telecommunications service providers (CSPs) reduce operational costs, improve network reliability, and streamline operations using artificial intelligence.
AI-Powered Network Optimization
Amdocs has launched its Network AIOps solution, which integrates Google Cloud’s AI tools, including Vertex AI and BigQuery. The solution enables telecom providers to automate network configuration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting. It also incorporates predictive analytics to anticipate failures and reduce downtime.
CSPs face challenges such as managing large-scale, cloud-native 5G networks, integrating multi-vendor systems, and handling vast amounts of network data. The AI-powered system provides real-time insights and root-cause analysis, allowing telecom operators to identify and resolve issues faster.
Reducing Costs and Improving Network Efficiency
The solution leverages closed-loop automation, meaning it continuously learns from network data to improve performance. By automating routine tasks, the system aims to reduce human intervention, minimize errors, and free up resources for other critical operations.
Anthony Goonetilleke, Group President of Technology and Head of Strategy at Amdocs, said AI-driven automation is becoming essential in handling the complexity of 5G networks. He emphasized that the new solution will help telecom operators streamline operations and improve service quality.
Angelo Libertucci, Global Industry Lead for Telecommunications at Google Cloud, highlighted that integrating Google Cloud’s AI tools with Amdocs’ expertise will enhance automation in the telecom sector.
As telecom operators continue their transition to cloud-based 5G networks, AI-driven solutions like Network AIOps are expected to play a crucial role in optimizing network operations and ensuring service reliability.
