Bengaluru: Bengaluru-based Reverie Language Technologies has teamed up with French firm Mediawen to improve video accessibility in 11 Indian languages. The collaboration, announced at the Paris AI Summit, aims to integrate AI-driven localisation solutions into digital content platforms.
AI-Powered Localisation for Indian Users
The partnership combines Reverie’s AI capabilities- automated translation, speech-to-text, and text-to-speech with Mediawen’s SaaS localisation platform, MEDIAWEN•HUB. This integration will enable seamless transcription, translation, and speech synthesis in languages such as Hindi, Tamil, Marathi, Telugu, Odia, Punjabi, Malayalam, and Gujarati.
The initiative seeks to address language barriers in digital content, making it more accessible across industries, including education, entertainment, corporate training, and digital marketing. According to the companies, AI automation will enhance accuracy and efficiency while reducing the costs and time associated with manual localisation.
Integration with Coming2India Platform
The technology will also be integrated into Coming2India.com, a new localisation platform supported by Eureka Innowwide. The platform combines Reverie’s AI-driven solutions with Mediawen’s multilingual SaaS and Braahmam’s native language expertise to help global businesses adapt their videos for Indian audiences.
Strategic Push for Digital Inclusion
Executives from both companies highlighted the potential impact of this collaboration. Erwan de Kerautem, CEO of Mediawen, said the partnership aligns with their goal of expanding access to video content in regional languages for education and entertainment. Vivekananda Pani, Co-Founder of Reverie, noted the growing demand for localised video content, citing the increasing number of videos shared daily on digital platforms.
As AI-driven localisation gains popularity, the partnership is expected to play a role in making digital content more inclusive for India’s diverse linguistic population.
