Bengaluru: The professional networking platform Apna.co has appointed Dr Preet Deep Singh as Head of Public Policy. He will lead structured government partnerships and leverage AI-driven initiatives to advance employment, education and upskilling.
Initially at Apna.co, Dr Singh is involved in fostering associations with the Government of Chhattisgarh, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Startup India, Government of Madhya Pradesh, Advantage Vidarbha and others.
Previously at Invest India under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Dr Singh took care of several transformative programs including the Startup India and One District One Product (ODOP) programs.
The ODOP numbers jumped from Rs 68 lakhs to Rs 5000 crore in government commitments under his stewardship.
Before that, he led the Startup Practice at EY India and worked in Governance Risk and Compliance services at KPMG. He also founded a startup consulting Aperio Management and an insurance platform WIMWISure leveraging blockchain.
Having trained over 25,000 government officers in AI as a faculty at IIT Kanpur and IIT Bombay, Dr Singh has been recognised as among the Top 100 in AI across the world by Apolitical.
