Bhubaneswar: The Subhadra Yojana scheme launched in Odisha on September 17, 2024 has entered its second phase of execution in March 2025.
The Odisha goverment overall allocated Rs 55825 crore for a period of 5 years for this scheme to promote women empowerment across the state.
The first instalment of Rs 5000 has been received by 98 lakh women in four phases since its launch.
Other eligible beneficiaries who are yet to receive the first instalment cam apply by March 31 to receive all 3 pending instalments in one go.
This will include a disbursal of Rs 5000 as first instalment to 1.7 lakh beneficiaries on March 6 (5th phase). Subsequently thr second instalment will take place on March 8 followed by the 3rd on Raksha Bandhan.
According to Dy CM Pravati Panda, all eligible beneficiaries who have been left out till date from thr Subhadra Yojana scheme can apply by March 31 to ensure they get all the 3 instalments on Rakhi Purnima.
By thr second instalment on International Womens Day on March 8, the number of beneficiaries will cross the 1 crore mark.
